Employee spotlight: Alyssa Sattler

Describe your role.
I lead end-to-end campaign strategy across key seasonal moments and media product launches, bringing our insights-to-activation story to life through external communications. This work equips Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM) clients with the tools and solutions to build smarter and more effective campaigns.
How long have you worked in retail media and what inspired you to pursue this field?
I’ve spent nearly 13 years across shopper marketing agencies, CPG, and now retailer ad tech roles. I was drawn to the industry through a passion for digital marketing at a time when the space was rapidly taking off as I graduated college. I began my career at Epsilon as a Digital Account Intern and have continued to grow in retail ever since, evolving alongside an industry that never stands still.
What interested you in joining 84.51°?
With a background aligned to the audiences I’d be creating content for, this role felt like a natural next step in my career. After over a decade creating shopper marketing plans, hearing client pain points, and understanding the end-to-end retail process, I knew I could immediately add value; especially given how measurement and media are evolving and what it means for clients. Kroger’s data is unmatched and I knew these would be products I could confidently promote to clients.
What has been the most memorable experience or favorite project you’ve worked on?
Supporting the rollout of the new Kroger Ad Platform just a few weeks after I started has to be a favorite career highlight at 84.51°. It was a great way to build trust with my cross-functional counterparts, meet new teammates, and learn more about 84.51° and our products.
What’s your favorite part about working at 84.51°? Do you have a favorite benefit or perk that is offered?
From a role standpoint, I love being in the action, seeing KPM product launches in the news, and knowing our daily work is shaping the future of retail media. I also love that I’m constantly learning; every new launch and cross-functional collaboration expands my media expertise.
What do you like to do in your free time outside of work hours?
I’ve recently taken up needlepointing (my new, very expensive hobby-IYKYK) and Pure Barre. I love taking walks with my dog, trying new restaurants, volunteering at my local dog rescue, going to concerts, and watching too much reality tv!
