Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated across generations, but Millennials take the cake.

  • 62% of Millennials will celebrate the occasion.

  • 46% of Gen X.

  • 35% of Boomers.

Survey results revealed that this year will be Margarita-Mania.

  • 19% of shoppers plan to mark Cinco de Mayo by drinking a margarita.

  • 15% will cook a traditional meal at home.

  • 13% plan to dine out at a Mexican restaurant.

Fun Fact: In 2023, weekly lime sales increased by 1.5x compared to an average week at Kroger during Cinco de Mayo, according to 84.51° Stratum.
