
84.51° Insights Certification
The 84.51° Insights Fundamentals and Certification programs teach you the knowledge and skills needed to get the most out of Kroger’s unparalleled set of shopper data. Those who complete this comprehensive program will develop the proficiencies necessary to create and deliver persuasive and impactful category analyses and strategies, strengthening your credibility and partnership with key stakeholders.
Fundamentals
This foundational training equips users with the knowledge and tools to discover insights. The program includes twelve (12) topic-based courses that teach users how to navigate and leverage 84.51° Stratum and OnDemand to answer relevant business questions.
Class options and time commitment:
- Virtual Instructor-Led – Two 60min sessions a week for 6 weeks
- Self-paced – Video recordings or e-learning modules for anytime access
Assessments:
- Knowledge checks for each topic
- Experienced users may “test-out” of completing all topics by passing Fundamentals final assessment with a passing score
- Fundamentals final assessment – demonstrate your knowledge by passing this 60-question assessment with a score of 80% or higher (must pass assessment to be eligible for Certification)
After completing Fundamentals, you will be able to:
- Navigate 84.51° Stratum and OnDemand
- Identify in-store and e-commerce business drivers
- Define household segmentations and dimensions
- Report on product distribution, inventory, out-of-stocks and space
- Describe assortment process and reports
- Explain new item key measures and approach
- Describe key measures in promotion analyses
- Identify product interactions and basket contents
- Express household behavior over time
- Create and utilize custom household segmentations

Certification
The program leverages a case study approach to learn how to apply the concepts covered in 84.51° Insights Fundamentals to discover insights. You will also master your skills by working through a custom project and learning how to create and communicate an insights story.

- Virtual Instructor-Led – Two 60min sessions a week for 7 weeks
- Two-Day Accelerated – In-person at 84.51° office
Assessments:
- Knowledge checks for each case study
- Stakeholder email assessment – demonstrate your ability to uncover and communicate insights
- Custom project presentation – live virtual 20-minute presentation delivered to instructors to demonstrate your ability to create and communicate an insights story
