People-led teams empower inclusion and belonging at 84.51°

At 84.51°, we believe diversity drives innovation and differences make us stronger together. Inclusion and belonging are essential for us to serve our customers and deliver on our purpose to make people’s lives easier.

Our people-led teams (PLTs) help bring that purpose to life. PLTs are resource groups that are created by our associates, for our associates. They help promote our unique differences and celebrate our shared passions for our cultures, family, and community.

PLTs foster a culture where everyone feels seen, respected, and empowered to thrive. They promote a workplace where voices are valued and contributions matter. And they help build trust and psychological safety across teams, so associates can bring their authentic selves to work.

PLTs support our associates with unique focus areas:

  • Degrees of Giving provides charitable giving to nonprofits chosen by 84.51° associates.

  • Green Team champions sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

  • ITOPiA creates space for introverted voices and needs.

  • Men for Equality supports more diverse and inclusive cultures.

  • Allyship in action fostering equality for all marginalized groups and honoring our diverse workforce

  • Women’s Edge offers resources to uplift women and fosters career growth.

  • 84.5Fun organizes events to enhance company culture and provide social opportunities.

  • a11y promotes accessibility for disabled and neurodiverse associates.

These groups lead more than 80 events and activities each year. From cultural celebrations to service projects, everyone can participate. All of our associates are invited to join a PLT or start their own, because every team helps us evolve and improve our inclusive culture.

PLTs provide safe spaces to connect, support, and grow. In doing so, they spark conversations that help push our organization forward. Our customers come from many different lived experiences, so we serve them best when we embrace our own diversity.

Creating inclusion and belonging takes a commitment to action. We’ll keep investing in this space in an effort to continue as an industry leader. Our diversity journey is always evolving, and with people-led teams, we’re making progress – together.
