Describe your role.

I am the event planner for the Cincinnati Office and coordinate space and logistics for both internal and external meetings and events. From an associate engagement standpoint, I partner with our DEIB lead, People Led Teams, and Degrees of Giving Charity Leads to bring their events to life. I also hold an integral role on our all-company Area 51 event team.

Beyond event coordination, I manage our corporate swag store and handle various building tasks and projects alongside my facilities team.

How long have you worked in media sales and what inspired you to pursue this field?

This is my first experience with a media sales company, but the past 10 years of my life have been dedicated to venue and event management.

What interested you in joining 84.51°?

84.51° always had a good reputation, and I knew someone who had been with the company for a long time who enjoyed working here. I was drawn to the strong “work-life” balance culture and the opportunity to work traditional business hours (something rare in the events industry), as well as the amazing benefits the company offered. Most importantly, I saw 84.51° as a place where I could explore new opportunities and grow professionally.

What has been the most memorable experience or favorite project you’ve worked on?

Area 51 has been one of the largest, coolest projects to be a part of. It’s next-level, and I don’t know any other company who does it quite like we do!

This year's event was particularly special as we celebrated 84.51°’s 10-year anniversary while looking ahead to the future. The entire experience was built around connection, intentionality, and our collective commitment to growth—themes that shaped every interaction and conversation throughout the event.

What’s your favorite part about working at 84.51°? Do you have a favorite benefit or perk that is offered?

My favorite part about working at 84.51° is the focus on the employee as a person. Our company is committed to the well-being of each associate, flexibility for work-life balance, and creating opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

My favorite benefit is the vacation time, hands down. I love that I’m able to use my time off in a more relaxed way throughout the year versus having to miss out on things because, let’s be honest, the FOMO is real! It’s refreshing to work somewhere that supports actually taking the time you need.

What do you like to do in your free time outside of work hours?

I spend most of my time with my family which is great because we all live within 5 minutes of each other! I also love rooting for the home teams, but mostly the Bengals & Bearcats.
