Describe your role. 

I help manage the relationships between Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM) and our clients with our sales team. Each day looks a little different, but this means that I get to help with tasks like setting up new clients within our systems, answering any questions regarding campaigns from intake through post-campaign analysis, and even beyond. I also help tackle billing and targeting requests as well. 

How long have you worked in media campaign management and what inspired you to pursue this field? 

I’ve been in the media account manager role for almost eight months now and love being able to watch how campaigns unfold and see the impact they can have on sales for clients. It’s very rewarding to see how our clients are happy with their results and want to try different tactics. 

What interested you in joining 84.51°? 

The retail media landscape is forever changing, and I love how innovative 84.51° is! I also love getting to work with brands that I use and love on a daily basis. 

What has been the most memorable experience or favorite project you’ve worked on? 

The roll out of the new Kroger Ad Platform for our on-site media. Watching the success of KPM in-housing this self-service media platform has been very rewarding. We streamlined the process of TOAs and PLAs within the platform, making it a more seamless intake process for our clients. 

What’s your favorite part about working at 84.51°? Do you have a favorite benefit or perk that is offered? 

The people. Both internal and external, I get to talk and work with (as well as learn from) great people from various teams all day. My favorite benefit is probably the amazing Old Post Office location which is a beautiful office space with amazing food and coffee – but the grocery discount is also a fun plus. 

What advice would you give to those who are considering working in this field?

My advice to anyone considering working in this field is to seek out mentors. I have found several great mentors throughout the start of my career who are so knowledgeable. I’ve embraced being the type of person always asking questions to better understand the ‘why’ behind things and have surrounded myself with people who have been instrumental in my career growth.     Through asking questions and learning from others, I’ve been able to pick up on valuable lessons to enhance both my day-to-day ways of working as well as how I view my career as a whole. Luckily, 84.51° matches you with a mentor and a peer mentor, so I have been able to learn so much from them both. 

What do you like to do in your free time outside of work hours?

Reading, perfecting my at-home coffee recipe, workout classes, and exploring Chicago!
