Doing GOOD 360°: Our 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Highlights Report

At 84.51°, our “Living Our Purpose” initiative is at the heart of everything we do. It’s how we embed our mission to make people’s lives easier into every part of our organization – from how we treat our associates to how we serve our communities – to drive more than just business results.

Living Our Purpose is about putting people and communities at the center of our work, to create lasting social impact for our associates, customers, and communities. And this year’s GOOD 360° 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Highlights Report is a celebration of how we’ve lived that purpose, together.

Purpose in action

In 2024, we didn’t just meet our goals—we exceeded them in ways that show the power of our commitment to doing good. From supporting more than 10,000 lives through our diversity and inclusion efforts to diverting 32,000 pounds of waste from landfills, we've proven that purpose-driven business drives real results.

A culture of health and balance

We continue to prioritize health, balance, and flexibility, with five weeks of PTO from day one, robust mental health support, and over $200K in tuition reimbursement for our associates. And all our spaces are thoughtfully designed with wellness and inclusion in mind.

Leading with diversity and inclusion

In 2024, more than80 diversity and inclusion activities reached 8,000 attendees and impacted more than 10,000 lives.

Internally, our people-led teams (PLTs) like Women’s Edge and ITOPiA created safe spaces for connection, allyship, and support to foster a culture of belonging. And externally, through collaborations like Girls with Pearls, we’re helping the next generation dream big.

Sharing our skills

Through our skills-based volunteering initiative, our associates used their expertise to solve real community challenges, like mapping food distribution routes for Last Mile Food Rescue and developing dashboards to help low-income schools for the Sam Hubbard Foundation.

Meaningful community investment

Through our Degrees of Giving initiative, associates nominated and selected 14 nonprofits to support, with most of the charitable organizations receiving $5,000. We also distributed $1,000 employee grant stipends to 27 nonprofits where our associates either serve on the board or chair a special event.

Advancing sustainability

Last year, we diverted 32,000 pounds of food and paper towel waste through composting. Our Cincinnati office now runs on 100% solar energy from the Cincinnati Zoo’s solar farm. And Kroger Precision Marketing collaborated with Scope3 to cut carbon emissions in digital campaigns, achieving 37% lower carbon costs than national averages.

Continuing the momentum

2024 was a year of action, compassion, and meaningful impact, and we’re proud of what we accomplished. But the work isn’t done. Every associate plays a role in bringing our purpose to life. We’ll continue doing good and getting involved to make 2025 even more impactful. Because putting people and communities at the center of what we do doesn’t just create business value – it creates meaningful change that extends far beyond our walls.
