Describe your role as a Associate Product Manager.
I work on 84.51° Stratum and focus on new ideas, features, and the roadmap for the product. My role is to focus on the best interest of the users and I’m in the middle of Sales, Software Development, Experience Design, and Product Support.

What was your experience like in the Development Program?
The development program was so important to me because I came into Software Product Management from a Supply Chain background in school. This meant a period set aside for learning and development was huge as I was onboarded into a career I was unfamiliar with.

How do you believe the 84.51° Development Program compares to other comparable programs?
There is an incredible amount of time, effort, and resources put into the Development Program. It’s clear at some companies they slap the name “Development Program” on and leave it at that. At 84.51°, you know you’ll have every tool available to be successful.

How do you believe the Development Program equipped you for success at 84.51°?
The process of meeting so many stakeholders and key contacts was the biggest piece for me. Once I started my role, I knew I had contacts in most functions to reach out to for help.

What did you learn from the Development Program that you have transferred into your current role?
The importance of asking good questions. I never released asking questions could be a true skill in a role, until that was consistent feedback that I had throughout the Development Program and in role.

Is there anything you wish you had known about the Development Program prior to enrolling? Trust the process and feel comfortable in the ambiguous stages of starting a career. You will grow, sometimes it just takes time.

What has been the most memorable experience or favorite project you’ve worked on?
Within 84.51°, I’m a part of Men for Equality – a group that focuses on workplace equality across race and gender. I have been leading the social media presence for the group and I’m really proud of that work thus far!

What advice would you give students who are interested in working in the analytics industry?
Everything around you is driven by analytics – sports, shopping, music, social media… everything. 84.51° has been doing this a long time and is an incredible company to work for to learn more about the industry.

What’s your favorite part about working at 84.51°?
The culture and the people. We do a great job of hiring culture ADDs and not just culture fit. We are also treated very well here and just about anyone that knows about the company knows that as well.

What do you like to do in your free time, outside of work hours?
I really enjoy doing things I’ve never done before and going places I’ve never been. I also really like spending money; shopping for clothes & antiques, eating out, and grabbing drinks always find a place in my budget.
